It aims to foster strong community ties, provide religious guidance, and support individuals in their spiritual journey. MINARA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the Albuquerque community in the areas of Homeless Feeding, Islamic Da’wah, Health & Wellness, Language Arts & Calligraphy, Martial Arts (Judo) and Archery Classes. The moon sighting (3/19/26) of the hilal confirms the start of Shawwal 1 and Eid prayer and celebration on March 20th, 2026. Prayer begins at 10:00 am MT. Please bring food!
Preparing for Eid al-Fitr 2026 (March 20th)
There will be a moon sighting attempt on Thursday, March 19 at 7pm MT. The moon sighting attempt will determine the start of Shawwal and Eid al-Fitr which, by now, should be March 20th at 10am when we begin the Eid prayer. Please send your Zakat al-Fitr ($11.00 per household member) prior to the start of Eid prayer. You may do so above through our payment portal.
